Adam Pearson

Adam started Pearson Insight in 2018 after nearly a decade of doing research in the public sector. A good few years of which were spent managing an in-house research agency.

He’s a Certified Member of the MRS, which recognises the qualifications and experience of senior researchers. Fancy.

Since going it alone, he’s helped numerous clients make better decisions by delivering big insights on not-so big budgets.

Things seem to be going well. In 2019, he was named the UK's New Freelancer of the Year by IPSE (the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self Employed). Useful if you’re putting your trust in someone to head up a team of freelancers.

Adam lives in Pendle, on the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire, where he enjoys volunteering as an Enterprise Adviser at local secondary schools.

He likes dogs and enjoys running and... actually, that’s probably enough.

Laura Parden

Laura supports the day-to-day running of research projects.

In 2019 she graduated as a mature student with a degree in Social Policy after deciding it was time to follow her passion for social research.

Laura is particularly interested in the areas of poverty, inequality and class, heritage, deindustrialisation and the changing nature of work.

Away from research, she is interested in all things print and blogs about ghost signs and local history in her home county of Kent.

Some of our freelance friends

Emma Slater

Emma specialises in qualitative research.

She is a member of The Association of Qualitative Research and has worked in market research for over 15 years, starting her career at Research International before Research Manager roles at ORC International and DJS Research.

Emma went freelance in 2016 to focus on her enthusiasm for qualitative research and to achieve a better balance between work and being a mum to three boys (she’s been juggling this ever since!).

Away from freelancing, she enjoys being a mentor with the 1 Million Mentor scheme.

Colin Wojtowycz

Colin specialises in data and analytics support, including data visualisation and dashboard reporting.

He has the best part of 20 years’ experience in social research, customer insight and business intelligence.

Colin is a Tableau Desktop Specialist, an Associate Specialist of the Digital Gaps Cooperative and is co-lead of the North West Tableau User Group.

Away from freelancing, he enjoys spending time with his family at their local allotment and then cooking and eating the produce!

Gareth Hancock

Gareth helps us with our marketing content so we can focus on helping you with your research project.

Since 2011, he’s worked as a freelance copywriter and marketing blogger for clients ranging from small local businesses to multinational corporations and brands.

Away from thinking up ideas and turning them into words, he enjoys shouting at the TV while watching sport and attempting to replicate what he sees on the football pitch and tennis court.
